How to Verify Technorati Claim Token

This is a brief post to answer the common question “How to verify Technorati claim token on my blog?”

All you have to do is copy and paste your unique token (for example, mine is NNHUHCF7CMZE) into your blog post and publish it. Preferably, paste your token within the first few lines of the post to get it noticed quickly.

After you have published the post with the token in it, go back to http://technorati.com/account/. Sign in to your Technorati account. Under your profile page, you should notice Technorati claim status and a button to verify claim token. Click on ‘Verify Claim Token’ and Technorati will go and look for your unique code in your blog. The whole verification process is quite simple and shouldn’t take you longer than a few minutes.

“Technorati is an Internet search engine for searching blogs, competing with Google and Yahoo!”, according to Wikipedia. By adding your own blog to the Technorati blog directory, it can help with search engine optimization (SEO) and you can also enjoy other benefits. It’s worth the small effort.

  6. Howdy would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re using? I’m going to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a hard time deciding between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique. P.S Sorry for getting off-topic but I had to ask!

    • Hi, I’m using self-hosted WordPress, not the free one. The links of the tools I use can be found in the “About” page. I’m happy to use them.
